What is Bark Bus?
Bark Bus is Louisville’s first ever, adventure day for your furry friend. First, we will pick your dog up in our fully customized doggie bus that has been fitted specifically with your dog’s safety and comfort in mind. Then we will bring them to a large, private, fully fenced property to play and exercise with other playful pups. When they are good and tired, we will end the day with a pup cup (or if you prefer, we can give them a treat that you provide), and finally, we will ride them back to your doorstep, tired and happy from their full day adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Bark Bus and Doggie Day Care
Your dog will have a constant change of scenery unlike the monotony of a day care facility. The convenience of door-to-door pick up takes some of the pressure off of you! Most dogs love the bus ride as much as the outdoor time. The freedom of running and playing off-leash and time in nature is sure to provide the mental stimulation they crave.
Is my dog a good fit for the Bark Bus?
Since all dogs will be allowed off leach to explore their surroundings, you want to make sure that your dog is one to want to stay with the pack. Dogs should be socialized with other dogs.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Yes, all dogs need to have up-to-date vaccination records to be allowed on the Bark Bus. We require proof of Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccinations, and titers are accepted. Flea and tick prevention is highly recommended, especially due to the outdoor nature of our activities. You will be able to upload this information when registering on the portal.
Does my dog need a harness?
Yes! All dogs must have a harness with a back attachment since they will be buckled in when they get on the bus. If you need to purchase one, we have a few recommendations of our favorites, just ask!
Does my dog need a temperament test?
We trust that you know your dog. If your dog has never had any issues around other dogs or if they have already had a temperament test for boarding or daycare, you can upload this info into the portal. If not, don’t worry we will do a quick evaluation when we pick your dog up for the first time.
Will my dog get dirty during the day out?
Maybe. Well, yes. Playing outdoors always comes with the chance of dirt and mud. We allow dogs to explore their surroundings and as much as we will try to avoid it, this may mean some dirty paws. If a dog is completely muddy, we will provide a quick rinse and towel dry. We cannot guarantee your dog will return home as clean as you sent them, but we can guarantee they had fun in the meantime.
How do I pay?
Payment is processed through Scout (our booking software). All charges are automatically billed to the card on file the following Tuesday after your dog’s ride. For example, if your dog rides on Thursday, you will be billed the following Tuesday.
How does Pickup and Drop-off work?
Our pick-up timeframe runs between 10am-11:30am and our drop-off timeframe is 2:30pm-4:00pm. These are windows of time for pick-up and drop-off. We cant guarantee a specific time, but will let you know with a message and picture when your dog is picked up for their day out and when they are safely back home.
We will need access to your home if you plan not to be home when we arrive. You will provide details for instructions to do this, in the portal when signing up.
